Kangaroo Room | Belmont Community Child Care Centre

Our 4-5 yrs preschool program is led by a qualified University trained Early Childhood Teacher and is supported by highly qualified and experienced Diplomas and a Cert 3 and another Cert 3 studying their Diploma.

The children in the Kangaroo room are always engaged in a range of learning, encompassing a variety of learning styles and philosophies.

School readiness is at the forefront of what we do and Numeracy and Literacy are embedded into the daily program, in both intentional and child focused play based learning.

- Social Development
  Through open ended play experiences, supported by the educators, social development is at the forefront. These social relationships are vital for future life skills and building resilience in the children.
- Self-help Skills
  Self-help skills are encouraged in an environment that allows children to feel powerful and competent, enabling for smooth transitions to the independence needed for the school environment.
- Art Studio
  We have a dedicated art studio, allowing the children time to explore a rage of art techniques, create and use their amazing imaginations.
- Playground
  Our purpose-built playground, encourages learning within a natural environment that supports sustainability. Here the children have the opportunity to explore nature, care for the preschool pet chickens and join with small group play.
